Microvi Biotech Inc. today announced that the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) — California’s largest public utility — has officially launched an independent, fully funded demonstration of Microvi’s Denitrovi™ biosolution for partial denitrification in wastewater. The demonstration is underway at LACSD’s Albert Kendall Warren Water Resource Facility and will support long-term scientific study of biological nitrogen removal as part of LACSD’s commitment to reducing the discharge of inorganic nitrogen into the environment.
