Microvi and Oro Loma Sanitary District Celebrate Three Years of Successful Sidestream Treatment Technology Performance

HAYWARD, CA (March 5, 2024) – Microvi Biotech, in collaboration with Oro Loma Sanitary District and HDR, celebrates three years of success since the commissioning of its groundbreaking Sidestream treatment technology. This milestone underscores the transformative potential of innovative wastewater treatment solutions in promoting environmental sustainability and public health.

Microvi recognizes that continuous training and innovation are vital for the success of wastewater treatment plant operations. As part of this commitment, Microvi was recently invited to review the three-year performance of its Sidestream treatment system, and the results are remarkable.

“Over the past three years, our system has successfully removed over 1 million pounds of nitrogen, significantly contributing to environmental sustainability and public health,” said Ameen Razavi, Chief Innovation Officer at Microvi Biotech. “We are immensely grateful for the partnership and support that made this full-scale project possible.”

As wastewater treatment facilities continue to seek new and effective technologies to enhance nutrient removal, Microvi remains committed to advancing innovative solutions that drive sustainability and operational efficiency.
